Hamdan Trading Group

Hamdan Trading Group is part of one of the largest corporate conglomerates from the Sultanate of Oman the Hamdan Group. The group commenced its business operations in the year 1975 and has mirrored the growth of the Sultanate of Oman and contributed significantly to the Omani economy.

Today the group has more than fourteen well organized and diversified business units each establishing a benchmark in its own field. Hamdan Trading Group consists of three core divisions of business of the Hamdan Group Viz; Transport, Heavy Construction and Dunlop Agency.

The Transport Division is one of the largest and oldest in the Sultanate having the most diverse fleet. The most challenging and complex logistics requirements have been fulfilled by the division and has been awarded ISO certification.

The construction Division is engaged in large scale Civil and Private construction activities across the Sultanate employing over 300 full time workers.The Dunlop agency of Hamdan Trading Group is the sole distributor of Dunlop Tires across the Sultanate of Oman and it has currently 12 branches strategically located for the convenience of the customer and many more branches are in the pipe-line to be opened soon.

Hamdan Trading Group (HTG) is committed to running its business in a socially responsible manner. The group prides itself as being a part of the Omani society and strives to maintain their dealings with high values and standards keeping up with the culture of the region.

Since 1975, the group has been providing excellent services and support to the community of the sultanate of Oman. Through the wide spectrum services offered by its sub divisions, Hamdan Trading Group has efficiently managed to play a proactive part in the society. Hamdan Trading Group has also supported various sporting events in the Sultanate of Oman.

The Hamdan Building located in Salalah is a testament to the dedication of Hamdan Trading Group towards the region of Dhofar. The Building houses a Hospital, hotel and Money Exchange apart from the divisions of Hamdan related to Construction, Transport and Dunlop Tyres. The Building has been a mainstay in the region of Salalah and is a landmark in the development of the region.

Awards & Achievements

Since the inception of Hamdan Trading Group in 1975, the organization has taken into custom of delivering products and services of the highest quality and has therefore received a multitude of awards from the government sector as well as private establishments.

These awards have been presented to them by organizations and clients locally as well as internationally. Among others, the notable awards have been received from Petroleum Development Oman, Diwan of Royal Court as well as an award of appreciation from the American Embassy.

Travelling down the memory lane to 1975’s, I still remember Hamdan Group starting business with only one office in Salalah as if it was yesterday. Hamdan has moved through monumental stages & taken extra-ordinary strides in growth, and expansion from its inception. Today, the Group is expanding into all major sectors of the economy and varied geographies; and with a clear vision and a dynamic team, Hamdan Group has managed to be one of the major players in Oman's economy. The core of this success has always lied in our winning corporate culture; that promotes growth and fosters innovation; and our customer-driven strategy, that is guided by quality, creative solutions, and a relentless search for better ways to serve our clients.

We have faced many challenges and I am sure we will keep on facing them but what matters is to stand our ground when the challenges are herculean and to come out of it as a winner this in my opinion what is called as journey to excellence.Maybe the biggest challenge I see today is the digital era we are living in and which, in my opinion, is characterized by increased globalization and customer-orientation.Businesses all over the world are now propelled to think aloud and to be more and more creative to meet and exceed the expectations of demanding customers.
